Ponder these

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Like any topic, sports pushes us to ask questions and reach out for more.  Not only do fans crave for more, organizations, athletes and the media do as well.  Otherwise we wouldn’t have firing of coaches, infidelity by players or rumours started by the media.

That opening paragraph is called a “segway”.  I am not insulting your intelligence - it’s just a joke.  If I wanted to insult you I would just come at you like a reporter with a microphone.

- Since I have become a blogger back in 2005 I have not hid my disdain for Roger Clemens.  The way he handled himself near the end of his tenure as a Toronto Blue Jay and the way he asked for a trade was the first blow.  As I sit here reading about his indescrections I read every report without batting an eye.

First, because Clemens is a total dick.  The 2000 World Series should have told everyone that.  But there are dicks that can be hilarious, but funny he is not.

Second, name athletes who have been faithful to their wives or girlfriends and I’ll say you are full of shit.  It is the worst crime you can commit when it comes to matters of the heart.  What murder is to our society is what cheating is to a relationship.  It is hard to forgive and impossible to forget.  Imagine watching your girl or man having intercoarse with another person - not pretty.  Meanwhile this is the norm for athletes.  Perhaps they feel invincible, or they have the biggest ego that says no woman is better than him.  It is irresponsible and intentional.  And, having kids involved makes things worse because you then have a broken home, they feel ashamed of their parents and themselves and that doesn’t instill any discipline in kids.  Hey, if daddy can sleep around why can’t I?

Lastly, Athletes are simply wired differently.  I can’t tell you how or why they just are.

To wrap this up, Mindy Mcready use to be gorgeous.

- Josh Howard decided to have a 28th birthday bash after Game 4 when coach Avery Johnson specifically said “NO PARTIES”.  He and a few teammates got crunk and their Monday practice was cancelled because of it.  Needless to say Johnson was livid when guys defied his request, not to mention Howard handing flyers around the locker room promoting his party.

Is this guy a total moron?  Don’t answer that, because after his little weed fiasco this guy should just go back to not speaking.

But, Mark Cuban decided Johnson should get the boot.  Again, another stupid decision by Cuban that you can add to his growing list: trading for J-Kidd, not re-signing Steve Nash, eating up Michael Finley’s HUGE contract for years while he plays for a division rival, Keith Van Horn, do I need to continue?  The whole notion of him being the best owner in sports should be erased from his name.  He’s just a fan of his team and nothing more.  Avery Johnson has been fired for decisions that weren’t made by him.

- I’m going to teach you guys something about the world of hockey; people who cover the sport will overuse terms like “heart”, “grit”, “toughness”, “Intensity”.  Those words are nice and they are important.  The problem is they don’t have a clue as to who has it and who doesn’t.  Take Jaromir Jagr, for example.  He could be the best player the NHL has seen over the last 15 years.  The perception on him is he just didn’t have the heart or the grit or the toughness to be a winner.  All of that is bull-fucking-shit.  This year he has played his butt off in the playoffs.  He’s also had some great playoff performances in the past.  My point is, try not to question a guy’s heart until you are 100% sure.  Until then, questioning someone’s heart when he’s busting his tail every night is an injustice.

- Speaking of injustice, while I’m still on hockey, Montreal deserved to lose tonight for benching Carey Price.  You have a #1 goaltender - YOU PLAY HIM.  I don’t care how many bad goals he gave up, he’s carried you this far you ride-him-out.  Now they have cost themselves the season and Guy Charbonneau should be cracked for benching the next great goaltender of the NHL.

- I told the b-ball boys, Ricko and MeanD, that Boston isn’t in a panic and will take Game 5.  That is how you make a statement at home.  That still doesn’t helped the fact that Boston allowed Atlanta to take 2 games in this series.

- If your pitching staff gives up 3 runs in 2 games, should they have a right to kill the rest of their team for being 0-2?  The answer is no; they get to kick the shit out of the coach and GM for releasing their leadoff and cleanup hitters.

…Well hopefully you can ponder away at your own discretion.  Enjoy the NBA playoffs.

Wacky weekend

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Interesting weekend which held the NFL draft on Saturday as this northern boy dipped into America for a couple of days (my apologies to FP - I was literally in Detroit 30 minutes before and after the baseball games on Friday and Saturday.  Hopefully I’ll see you on Michigan soil).

Speaking of wacky, a few things caught me…

- I was amazed to see the Phoenix Suns not lay down and die in Game 4 when some of us thought they did just that in Game 3.  All they are doing is prolonguing the inevitable as they will lose to the San Antonio Spurs.

I am not ready to close the book on the Suns and their chances of winning the NBA Championship just yet.  We did see Dallas make the NBA finals 2 years ago and the Miami Heat win the title, so stranger things have happened.  But here is the first tip for them to succeed: PLAY MORE THAN 8 PLAYERS DURING THE REGULAR SEASON EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.  If D.J. Strawberry doesn’t see the floor for at least 6 minutes a game next year fire Mike D’Antoni.  No excuses next year - it’s do or die.

- The Toronto Blue Jays nearly got swept by Kansas City after getting swept by Tampa Bay.  Has anyone ever been swept by those two teams back-to-back over the last 10 years?  Or even gone 1-5?  I don’t know.  What I do know is the Blue Jays continue to prove that they don’t have the offensive fire power to hang with good teams.  Someone pointed out how they can beat good teams like Boston and New York but have problems with teams under .500.  That means Toronto is a horseshit team.  Great teams can play with other great teams and they dominate the shit teams.  Get with the program Blue Jays - and I’m pulling for you as much as Rachel Phelps did for the Cleveland Indians in Major League.

Hate to tell you guys I have been 100% correct - thus far.

- I was also right with New Orleans.  They will finish Dallas off in either Game 5 or 6.  I would be calling for a 1-game suspension for overrated point guard Jason Kidd for the gutless foul on Jannero Pargo in Game 4.  No major website has commented on the play as of yet, which means Kidd will probably skate on the play and won’t be suspended.  If you watch the play again, Pargo could have been seriously hurt had he not put his hand on the floor first.

That said, New Orleans would probably want Kidd to continue playing since the Pargo play was the best shot he has taken so far in the playoffs.  Right now he is seeing how different it is to face real teams with real point guards.  Welcome to the West Jason; now remind yourself that you aren’t as good as everyone thinks you are and we’re glad you have room in your near-empty heart to hit guys as well as women.

- Josh Howard likes to smoke.  He’ll get his chance soon as the Mavs season will be up in smoke in a matter of days.

- Speaking of overrated, Lupe Fiasco sucks.  While I’m off sport for a second, I loved the political coverage in the U.S. on John McCain’s take on the North Carolina ad’s with Reverand Wrong featured.  And also Reverand Wrong’s little interview where he feels a bit slighted.  Well dickhead, stop and think before you speak and all is good.  Because I’m not American I don’t have to be offended by his comments but I can’t control what happened before I was born.  I can control today, but I shouldn’t feel bad about being white - I had no choice in the matter.

- Back to sports (sorry for that, I blame you Americans for this!  Just kidding)…I know Vladimir Guerrero is not close to the gigantic milestones (he just got hit #2000 this weekend), but I still believe he’s a Hall of Famer.  I think he’ll have the numbers when its all said and done.  Plus the guy is freaking phenomenal.

- Anyone watch Hockey?  Well, if you don’t that’s ok.  I’m freaking impressed with the Dallas Stars.  This is the Dallas team I’ve expected to see over the years but they have hit walls without any explaination.  They now have a shot at beating 2 of the most highly regarded teams in this year’s playoffs if they take out San Jose.  Detroit may have had the most points this year and may be playing the best hockey right now, but before the playoffs began guys were pointing at San Jose and Anaheim to take the title this year.  Kudos to Dallas and Marty Turco, who has answered all the idiot critics who thought he couldn’t play in the playoffs.

- Denver Nuggets can stay positive all they want, they are getting their ass kicked all over the place and they have no answer - no pun towards Allen Iverson.

- I know about the NFL draft.  What I don’t know is who will pan out and who won’t.  So I won’t bother.

I’d rather talk about Chad Johnson and his plot to leave Cincy.  Hey, this has been a franchise spoiled with negativety over the years, and since the last time they made the playoffs there have been off-field problems not to mention a suspect defense.  Yet, Chad Johnson has been targeted for his celebrations on the field.  There have been bigger issues with the Bengals but Chad Johnson is a problem?  No wonder he wants to get the hell out of there.  I don’t blame him.

I realize he is under contract and he must fulfill that.  I understand that.  But this is Football, where changes can happen at the drop of a hat.  That said, would Ocho have signed his last deal with Cincy knowing that he’d take more crap than some of the law-breakers of the Bengals?  Doubt it.

- Roger Federer gave Rafael Nadal a nice run on clay but came up short.  I watched this matchup at a restaurant on the way home.  Federer is perhaps a top 3 clay player in the world, Nadal happens to be the best.  Nadal may perhaps be the best clay player ever when his career is over.  All directions point to yes.

- Want to leave you with a final point of how I rationalize the draft.  Some sports call for the most talented player on the board while other sports call for the position with the biggest need.  Here’s how I look at it:

Baseball: Talent

Basketball: Talent/Position

Football: Position/Talent

Hockey: Talent

- Basketball looks at talent first, then see the position.  For instance, say New Orleans has the #1 pick and the best player is a point guard, why would they take him?  Take him if he’s tall enough to play Shooting Guard.  Whereas Football looks at position first, but if the talent is too good to pass on (ex: Oakland taking McFadden) you either draft him or trade the pick.  Either way, know what you are dealing with.

In baseball you have a couple of years before the player will blossom, so you get the best guy available - even if he’s a Boras guy.  Hockey is best player all the way despite the potential of immediate impact.  I know this year’s #1 overall prospect personally and Tampa Bay could be getting a great one if they decide to go with the scouting reports.

Time to sleep like the Nuggets on defense…

A night with a Pig

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Do you know why bloggers at Foxsports feared ‘The Clique’?

The answer is simple; when two members of The Clique come together, they click.

Tonight, Michael Maron and I (FlyingPig and TheDan) met up north of the border at one of the most glamorous sports bars in the area called “Wegz”.  Unlike MeanDovine’s experience with a fellow blogger, Piggy and I didn’t perform any physical activity that left us limping (unless Pig got with the hot waitress after I left).  And yes, we had a hottie.  Her name was Ashley and she was 19-20.  Too old for R. Kelly but just right for us.

The night started like this:

FP: Hello?

TD: Piggy!  It’s Dan, what’s up?

FP: Dan!  What’s happening?

TD: You guys making your way to Wegz?

FP: We’re a beer in already.

TD: I just pulled up.  See you inside…

Sure enough, he wears his Red Wings jersey and I wear my Blue Jays T-Shirt and it was on from there.

We had the best of our worlds; we watched Piggy’s Pistons and Tigers beat up their opponents while I didn’t have to watch the Maple Losers and kept tabs on the dysfunctional Blue Jays.

Other topics came up: The Foxsports fallout, my old radio show, RSB, NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, hometown franchises and yellow fever.

What’s yellow fever?  That’s a great question folks.  That is when a non-asian man has a soft spot (hard spot actually) for an asian woman.  Typically when a hot asian girl walks by I start snapping my fingers and begin singing “Fever” - Michael Buble version since I’m Canadian.

It was everything it was suppose to be; talk sports, women, blogging and work.  Typical guy stuff as FP crushed a burger on a triangle bun while I destroyed some wings.

Perhaps the funniest part of the night was when Piggy got his friend (Mike, coincidentally) to take a picture with the waitress, Pig and myself.  The phones Mike and Mike were using gave them fits - like a male teenage virgin trying to open and assemble a condom for the first time.  Like the teenager, we finally got it to work and my C-minus game was able to snag her facebook friendship.  In fact I did very little; grandpa Piggy was all over it.  Its always better when you don’t have to work for a little luck.

Pictures are on the way - focus on the one in the middle.

It was great to share some Pip Poop tonight.  Wish you could all be there too.

Quite Frank-ly, the Blue Jays have it all wrong

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

On April 25th 2006, Frank Thomas was batting .162. He went on to hit .270 with 39 homeruns, 114 RBI’s and was 4th in MVP voting while helping the Oakland A’s get to the ALCS.

On April 21, 2007, Frank Thomas was batting .197. He went on to hit .277 with 26 homeruns and 95 RBI’s, leading the team in both power categories.

Earlier today, the Toronto Blue Jays announced they released the future Hall of Famer after they said Thomas would see his playing time reduced. This marks the second starting player to be released by the Blue Jays in a matter of weeks. The other was Reed Johnson.

For a team that ranks 4th last in the AL in homeruns, this move makes no sense. The move also does not justify how a team would quit on the player who led their team in homeruns and RBI’s the previous year. It also makes you wonder why the team decided to announce Thomas’ reduced playing time, yet continue to play Marco Scutaro everyday when he’s batting .188 with 0 homeruns and 4 RBI’s. Unlike The Big Hurt, Scutaro does not have the track record of being a feared player offensively or defensively.

Although the Blue Jays claim Thomas’ reduced playing time was not about money, the real reason was money. The release of Reed Johnson allowed the team to save over 2 million dollars in a cost-cutting move. The team led people to believe Reed was not ready to play due to his previous back problems. Reed sits with a .354 batting average for the 1st place Chicago Cubs and is becoming a fan-favorite in Chicago for his hustle, hard-work and ability to play all 3 outfield positions - the same way he was beloved in Toronto.

What is also disheartening about this situation is how Thomas got to where he is now from 3 short years ago. The consensus around baseball was that Thomas’ injuries were too much to overcome and his career was deemed to be over. He threw out the first pitch at Cellular Field in the 2005 World Series - which was won by the team he starred on for over a decade. They won the title without the face of the franchise. Then he gets one last opportunity to play when Oakland knocks on his door. By mid-May the Athletics could have released him and nobody looking from the outside would have disagreed with the decision. But they stuck with the man, and he delivered in a way none of us could have dreamed.

In fact, someone asked me in May of 2006 if Frank was finished and I boldly said, “No, he’s a hot streak away from having respectable numbers. He has done this during his injury-riddled years.”

Frank proved me right, and without him Oakland would not have reached the playoffs. He proved all his critics wrong and he showed that not only could he still perform, but that he also had a heart of a lion. Although Toronto has lost sight of this.

You would think people would learn their lesson about doubting a man who has proved people wrong over and over again. There is a very good chance that, if given the opportunity, he will turn it on again and prove Toronto wrong for letting him go. Perhaps a team like Minnesota takes a chance on Frank the Tank and helps the team he use to destroy when he was in a White Sox uniform. Or perhaps Frank realizes that he has nothing left to prove (which he has proved to be one of the greatest hitters of our generation), retires and begins working on his Hall of Fame speech early. Regardless, he is a legend who deserved a better sendoff than this.

This should also stand as a wake-up call to Toronto Blue Jays fans and baseball fans in general that the Blue Jays organization needs a significant shake-up, starting from the top all the way down.

The time we’ve all been waiting for

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

By the looks of the title, you may be thinking to yourselves as to where you’ve heard this statement before.

You may have heard this at your high school graduation.

You may have heard this when you were about to get your very first blow job.

Or you may have heard this when your favorite team reached the playoffs for the first time.

Personally, I could not wait for the 2008 NBA playoffs to begin as we had an incredible start and finish to the regular season on the West side, while we watched two teams grow into formidable contenders in the East.  And while my fellow Canadians watch the NHL playoffs, real sports fans and real sports bloggers will tune into the NBA playoffs - because, let’s face it, its better than the NHL.  But that is just one man’s opinion - along with the ratings game :)

Before we begin looking at the matchups, let’s pause as we watch Manny Ramirez’s BOMB……………ok I’m done.  But seriously, I need to address one team before we start.

The Golden State Warriors feel pretty lousy at this point in time as they nearly won 50 games and missed the playoffs by just 1 game.  They won more games than the 4th place team in the East while facing tougher competition.  You could make an argument that they’d be a top 3 team in the East.

However, I’m not all that upset about this.  If we are up in arms over the 11th best team in the NBA missing the playoffs then we are looking at the entire tournament with the wrong perspective.  Face it, Golden State may have won 1 round and that’s it.  Their flaws are the reasons they are sitting at home this year rather than playing spoiler.  Best of luck in the lottery.

Let’s get this started…

EAST

Boston (1) v. Atlanta (8) - Boston in 5

- This isn’t your father’s Atlanta Hawks when they had Dominique Wilkins and company.  This is a different Hawks team that may become a very good team down the road.  They have a young nucleaus but they certainly lack depth, which is something Boston was knocked for at the beginning of the season.  They certainly addressed their depth situation and they have a very good starting 5.  Boston can match up with anyone in the NBA and they have proven that.  Nice work Atlanta, but not this year.

Detroit (2) v. Philadelphia (7) - Detroit in 4

- Congratulations to Philly for making the playoffs, because before the season they were left for dead.  Granted, the East is so wide open that anyone can have a decent season and make the playoffs, but considering what little talent they have its a nice accomplishment to place 7th.  But Detroit is Detroit, and I believe they are better than they were last year.  I expect them to reach the East Finals and have a great shot at the finals.  For now, they will roll over the Sixers.

Orlando (3) v. Toronto (6) - Orlando in 5

- I’m not giving the Raptors a hometown discount; they will get their ass kicked.  They have a bunch of “nice” players but “nice” won’t be enough to stop Dwight Howard or Rashard Lewis.  This series will prove to everyone that the Raps will need to deal T.J. Ford, and possibly think about moving Andrea Bargnani (I don’t like giving up on #1 picks after 2 years).

Cleveland (4) v. Washington (5) - Cleveland in 7

- Now that the “watch out for Cleveland” bandwagon has broken down before leaving the parking lot, they will sweat it out against Washington like they did two years ago.  It would be more of a surprise rather than a shock if the Cavs happened to turn it up because they are like a flatline heartrate.  Washington has a vulnerable team on their hands and they can take advantage of it - so long that Gilbert Arenas doesn’t try to take over.  This is Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler’s team.  If Arenas realizes that I’ll predict a Wiz victory.  But I don’t believe Arenas has that kind of selflessness in him.

WEST

LA Lakers (1) v. Denver (8) - Lakers in 6

- This isn’t a pushover 1 v. 8 matchup.  But we already knew that since the game differential between these two teams is 7.  My big question is can Melo or A.I. answer Kobe’s call if Bryant starts pushing 50 points?  5 years ago I would have said yes to Iverson.  Carmelo has that kind of game but I am not sure where his head is at after his latest fiasco.  Denver will need Marcus Camby to contain Pau Gasol and Kenyon Martin to contain Lamar Odom.  This is an upset in the making, but I doubt Denver has the bench to beat LA.  As well, Kobe can’t afford a 1st round TKO, so expect a big performance out of him.

New Orleans (2) v. Dallas (7) - New Orleans in 5

- New Orleans has a better starting 5 and they have a better bench.  None of the starters have rings.  So when I hear the excuse about playoff experience I’ll just point to Peja Stojakovoic and Morris Peterson.  When they talk about veteran leadership I’ll point to the same guys.  The best player on the floor is Chris Paul.  Does Dallas have a shot?  Yes.  But, I won’t get caught up in the experience game when the Hornets placed 1st in the best division in sports.

San Antonio (3) v. Phoenix (6) - Phoenix in 7

- Pipe dream, right?  Well, I didn’t like the way the Spurs ended the season.  Yes the playoffs are a different breed, but with the Suns being a different team from what they were at the beginning and after watching them pummel the Spurs a week or so ago I have a new belief in the Suns.  But they could bow out in 6 and all will be forgotten.  I do believe Phoenix can’t win the NBA title because of their choice to shorten their bench since day 1.  Might want to play 9 guys per night, let alone 10 in December boys.

Utah (4) v. Houston (5) - Utah in 7

- Utah got the matchup they wanted, as did Houston.  If Houston had Yao Ming, they’d win in 6.  No way could they stop him with Mehmet Okur.  Carlos Boozer is extremely overrated on defense and cannot stop good power forwards.  But Houston doesn’t have a scoring power forward so they don’t have to worry just yet.  Houston will battle, T-Mac will win a game or two on his own but we’ll rack up another year for T-Mac’s string of 1st round defeats his teams have suffered throughout his career.

FINAL WORD: Isiah Thomas should be an afterthought, and the New York Knicks need to make a decision now.  Of course, their reluctance to get rid of him would admit that they screwed up.  Suck it up kids, make the best decision for the organization and stop allowing this guy to continue damaging yours.  The Detroit Lions think that’s ridiculous.  On second thought, they stand behind you all the way.

Let’s get the show on the road…

Brett Favre is selfish - when will you realize that?

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Need I say more?

How can a guy have the audacity to consider playing after telling the entire world he was drained, finished, retired.  How?  Does Brett Favre crave attention THIS much?  All the tears he cried at his press conference was just an act for attention?

This does not help the Green Bay Packers.  This kind of drama is unnecessary, but this shouldn’t be much of a surprise as Favre’s class has always been as fake as Roger Clemens’ sincerity.  To come back after everything we have witnessed would be a classless act from a selfish football player.

At least Michael Jordan and Mario Lemieux took years off before coming back.  Not to say Favre is coming back, but all I ask is for a Favre-free zone.  I don’t need people to tell me how clutch he was when I watched him choke playoff games year in and year out against inferior teams.  I don’t need people to feel sorry for him when they would ridicule any other quarterback for their poor play.  And I don’t need people to tell me Chad Johnson is selfish for dancing on the field but Favre’s a gamer when he throws snowballs at teammates.

Stop the hypocrisy.  Stop giving him a free pass.  It’s getting as old as he is.

I never thought I’d stoop to this level, because I tried to fight this for so long.  But it’s time to face the harse reality of our world, and the way things go.  I don’t want to believe this, but I do:

Brett Favre would not command this kind of respect, admiration or benefit of the doubt if he wasn’t white.

I’m ready for your say…

Fuming

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Jim Leyland must be doing that right now as his powerhouse Detroit Tigers have jumped out to an 0-6 record.  I must admit, the post isn’t about the Tigers and their poor start but I will get to that in a second.  But I did come across something within RSB that pissed me off this week, and I’ll get to that even later.  For now, it is time to blog…

- I wouldn’t be surprised if Major League Baseball is openly trying to break down the Boston Red Sox.  What the hell were they thinking when they sent Boston to Japan to open the regular season, to Los Angeles to resume Spring Training AFTER they already started their regular season, back to Oakland to finish the series they started in Japan and then into Toronto to take on the Jays.  No wonder the Jays swept Boston; they were freaking out of gas.  That was a bullshit schedule and I feel bad for Boston.

- If I am a Phoenix Suns fan I’m pissed.  They just blew a comfortable win over Dallas and the game also flushed their season down the drain.  The Suns are done.  There isn’t an “ON” switch big enough to help them.  That was pitiful.  While I’m at it, the Suns era is over.  They aren’t winning a title as long as Steve Nash continue to step closer to declining rather than improving.

- Atlanta Hawks clock person and scoreboard operator should be fired.  How many times can they fuck up scores, fouls and the clock?  The screw ups aren’t just involving the Toronto Raptors, who have been involved in 2 mess ups over the last 2 season.

- Chris Henry is a fuck up.  This guy has amazing talent and he’s pissing it down his leg.  For what?  Honestly, is all that bullshit he’s into worth it?  Was his crime worth it?  I’ll take a wild guess and say no.  Fuck man, take life seriously.

- Last year I had a good idea of what kind of hockey playoff to expect.  This year I don’t have a clue.  I say go with the Western Conference if you happen to be participating in a playoff pool.  San Jose and Anaheim seem safe.  Detroit may figure in there as well.  I don’t have a clue what the East will do.  Quite frankly, I don’t give a shit because I’ll be watching basketball.

- Dear Toronto Maple Leaf fans - take a cue from me.  Stop wasting your money on a piece of shit franchise and make them earn your respect.  If you don’t they will continue to take you to the cleaners and make you look like the fucking morons you truly are.

- Boy, have I been pissed off!!  But I bet Jim Leyland is smoking 5 cigarettes at a time with the shit he’s been seeing with his ballclub.  First Kansas City sweeps them and then Chicago has their way with them.  I know Detroit has injuries, but they have murderers row.  Boys, score some fucking runs consistently.  No excuse for this team not to score 5 runs a game.  Yes, D-Train may walk 100 guys and your bullpen can continue getting rocked, but the hitters have to do their job and score runs.

- I hate hearing about Roger Federer losing to blowhards like Andy Roddick.  It means Federer must be hurt or slowing down.  I told you all that we would never appreciate Roger’s greatness until his run ends and we may, in fact, be seeing that.  I hope not.  The guy is great for tennis and has been the best player I’ve ever seen.

- Ok I want to end this post as quick as I can because, as you can see, I’ve been writing a blog that is unacceptable.  I’m not just pissed off that I lost my Yahoo Hockey league by 1 assist or that I just got knocked out of Yahoo Basketball after winning the division.  No, that isn’t even it.

Let me ask you all: do you care about receiving a compliment after writing a blog?  Let me tell you that I have never posted a comment on another person’s blog without reading the post first.  Why would I do that?  Why would I want to expose myself as a douche-bag liar like that?  Would you?  Don’t answer that because I know one of you would.  And to go out of your way to lie for no real reason is ridiculous.  At least lie with a purpose.

I’m not going to out the blogger and I won’t bother with the hints because it will be too easy.  All that will do is start a battle and people will choose sides and all the bullshit keeps building up.  Before you know it nobody will have any fun here.

That aside, blog on…
